Brian Drake, originally from Los Angeles, CA, discovered his passion for dance at the tender age of 2. His journey into the world of dance began at the revered Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, where he trained under the mentorship of several acclaimed choreographers. Brian’s dedication and continuous learning paved the way for his breakthrough into the choreography scene, marked by his role in choreographing and dancing on two national tours in Japan for Capitol Records’ recording artist “Aksent,” who achieved a Top 5 single in Japan.
His career flourished further with a series of independent choreography and performance opportunities. Brian’s innovative choreographic concepts were showcased in various projects, including Nickelodeon films such as “The School Girls – It’s a Schoolgirls Christmas” and “The Wonder Girls,” as well as on Abbey Lee’s Abbey Studio rescue TV show aired on Lifetime Network. He contributed his creativity and expertise to collaborations with esteemed names such as Nickelodeon, Interscope Records, Joffrey West Ballet/Singapore Sissonne Dance Studio, and several independent artists, including R&B sensation Joyce Wrice, Mack Keane, and many others.
Brian’s versatility extends beyond dance into the realm of acting. He can be seen showcasing his acting talent in short films like “Catching Spirits,” directed by Vanessa Beletic, which received the number 1 award at the Hollyshorts Film Fest and garnered nominations in several other short film festivals.
